Poll results: What do you hope the future holds for Monte McNaughton?

It appears our readers want to see our local MPP as the leader of his political party.

We asked our readers: What do you hope the future holds for Monte McNaughton?

Here are the resuts:

– I’d like to see Monte elected as the leader of the Ontario PC Party 65.67% (44 votes)

– I’d like to see Monte focus his efforts on representing Lambton-Kent-Middlesex 34.33% (23 votes)

– Total Votes: 67

However, some people had some other comments to add.

“Love Monte but honestly don’t believe he’s electable in the GTA,” wrote Dawn Unsworth Manning on Facebook. “I’d much rather see Christine Elliott as leader so that the GTA will vote conservative and we have a chance to get Wynn OUT!”

Michael Cowtan said our choices given in the poll were lacking.

“I think we need more options,” he wrote in the Sydenham Current comments section.

The race for the PC leadership now includes three people: McNaughton; Barrie MP Patrick Brown; and Whitby-Oshawa MPP Christine Elliott.

Every member of the Ontario PC Party will be able to vote for PC leader this coming May.
