John Marshall Van Damme, a resident of Wallaceburg, died in London on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the age of 65.

John is the son of the late Marshall Omar & Helena Elizabeth (Everaert) Van Damme.

Beloved husband of Mary Louise (Aerts). Loving father of Daniel (Jean) and Steven (Jessie).

Dear grandfather of Krista, Randy, Tara and Aiden. Brother of Carol Leavens (Maurice), Marcia Janssens (George), Judy Roy (Ray), Sandra Schepens (Gene), Ken Van Damme (Louise) and Jane De Goey (John).

Brother-in-law of Margaret Janssens (Chris) and Martin Aerts. Son-in-law of Jean & the late Tony Aerts.

John farmed in Chatham Township, was a member of the Ontario Vegetable Growers for 25 years, a Chatham Township Councilor, Volunteer Firefighter for the Becher Fire Department, former president of the Tug O War Association in Wallacebnurg for the WAMBO weekends for many years, a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Frank A. Hyde Assembly #2600 and a faithful usher at Our Lady Help of Christians Church.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Tuesday.

The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Wednesday, February 25 at 2 PM with visiting at the church in the hour prior.

Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
