Three-day suspension issued outside of Wallaceburg

drunk-driving

A Chatham man won’t be driving for three days, after being caught drinking and driving.

On February 22, 2015, just after 3:00 a.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Impala for a traffic violation on Highway 40, near Elbow Line.

While the officer was speaking with the 29 year old male driver from Chatham, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages.

A roadside test was completed which resulted in a warn range suspension.

The driver was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension and charged for having an obstructed licence plate.
