Charges laid after hair dye was stolen in Wallaceburg

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman in connection with a shoplifting complaint in Wallaceburg.

On February 28, 2015 just before 2:00 p.m. the woman attended Rexall Pharma Plus on James Street and placed three boxes of hair dye into a bag she was carrying.

The woman fled the store making no attempt to pay for the items valued at $46.00.

Through investigation police identified the woman and further learned that she was currently bound by conditions not to attend that specific address.

Last night around 9:00 p.m. police located the woman on Wallace Street and she was taken into custody.

A 33-year-old woman of James Street in Wallaceburg has been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and failing to comply. She was released with conditions pending a future court date of March 17, 2015.
