Meth seized in huge drug bust in Sarnia

On March 19 and 20, 2015, the Sarnia Police Vice Unit, with the assistance of the COPPS Unit, executed three search warrants within the city.

As a result, three males and three females were arrested.

Two search warrants were executed in the 100 Block of George Street.

The third search warrant was executed in the 1700 Block on London Line.

All three search warrants stem from the same investigation conducted by the Vice Unit.

As a result of the execution of the search warrants, 570 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $68,000 was seized.

Six hydromorphone pills and 8 dilaudid pills with a street value of $180.00 and a 24 mg hydromorphone tablet with a street value of $40.00 were also seized.

A 44-year-old woman, 49-year-old man and a 36-year-old man, all from Sarnia, were charged with possession of methamphetamine and hydromorphone.

A 48-year-old man from Kitchener was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

The man was also charged with weapons offences as a result of him being found with brass knuckles.

A 27-year-old woman from Sarnia was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

A 29-year-old female arrested at the execution of the first search warrant was released without charge.

All charged parties were held in custody awaiting a bail hearing on March 20, 2015.
