The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for impaired driving following a collision on Wednesday night.
Around 9:40 p.m. emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision on Bloomfield Road at 6th Line.
The man was travelling northbound on Bloomfield Road in his truck when he turned left onto 6th Line and drove directly into the path of an oncoming car.
The driver of the car, a 23-year-old London woman, was transported via ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with non-life-threatening injuries.
Through investigation, the officer believed the man was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The man was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
The 50-year-old Chatham man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and impaired driving causing bodily harm.
He will be released when sober with conditions pending a future court date of April 17, 2015.
