United Way of Chatham-Kent held their Annual General Meeting, on April 22, 2015 at ā€œThe 425ā€ United Way Centre for Community Innovation.

At the meeting, outgoing 2014 Campaign Co-Chairs, Dean and Margery Muharrem announced their 2015 successors – Kelly Bayda and Aimee June.

Kelly, her husband, Joe, two boys, Thomas and Nicholas and two Chocolate Labs, Perry and Max became ā€œChathamtoniansā€ in June, 2010 when she was relocated to a position as a Branch Manager with BMO Bank of Montreal. She has been involved with the United Way of Chatham-Kent since 2013 and is currently a member of the Womenā€™s Leadership Council. Additionally, she has assisted with the 2013 and 2014 CK Amazing Races and was a member of the 2014 Campaign Cabinet.

Joining Kelly in the role of Co-Chair is Aimee June, Branch Manager of the BMO Bank of Montreal in Blenheim.

Aimee has been a proud resident of Chatham-Kent for the past 35 years. She is married to a wonderful and deeply supportive husband Chris and they have two beautiful daughters, Courtney and Abigail. Aimee has been volunteering with the United Way for the last three years, spending two years on the Fund Distribution Committee and seeing how important it is to achieve the annual campaign target. Several years ago, a good friend who is a long time United Way volunteer once said to her something like thisā€¦ ā€˜ā€™You really have no idea how important the United Way is until you become involved and you see for yourself how they are impacting people who need helpā€™ā€™. Aimee has never forgotten that statement and can tell you from experience how right her friend truly was.

ā€œWe are excited to be embarking on this United Way journey together and looking forward to approaching the 2015 Campaign from a few different angles. We are ready to ā€˜spice things up a bitā€™! We are ready to influence and impact change for Chatham-Kent.ā€ said Kelly.
