Tree branch used in assault

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a neighbour dispute.

On April 24, 2015 at approximately 10:30 p.m. police responded to a disturbance in Chatham. While outside arguing, the man struck his neighbour with a tree branch.

The victim did not require medical attention.

The man fled the area prior to police arrival.

Yesterday morning, police located the man and he was charged with assault with a weapon.

The 33-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
