The Chatham-Kent Police has arrested a man following a domestic disturbance in Wallaceburg.
The man and his common-law partner were arguing.
The incident escalated into a physical altercation as the man began assaulting her.
Officers attended the residence and the man was taken into custody.
The 50-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with one count of assault, one count of assault with a weapon and Weapons Dangerous.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
