Mrs Shirley (Modde) Haggith, it is with great sadness that we share the news of our Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma’s passing on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the age of 86.
Beloved wife of the late Fredrick Haggith (2001). Loving mother of Laverne Haggith, Guy (Catherine) Haggith and James Haggith.Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
The family owes a huge debt of gratitude to Mom’s caregivers during her illness. To Dr. Mayo, Diane Maguire and the nurses at Sydenham Hospital in Wallaceburg, thank you for your wisdom, compassion, dedication and professionalism throughout that time. We would like to say a very special word of thanks to each of you that have been praying for our family through this time.
During her illness, Mom’s strength, courage, sense of humour and beauty was a shining example for all of us. To honour Mom’s wishes, the family will hold a private gathering and celebration at a later date. Cremation will take place.
“To be brave is to cry but still to fight on and that’s what you did, Our hero, our Mom.”As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Charity of Your Choice may be left at the funeral home.
As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Shirley Haggith.
