Voyeurism charges laid in St. Clair Township

The Lambton OPP have laid voyeurism charges after an investigation in St. Clair Township.

On May 9, 2015 members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police- Crime Unit (OPP) became aware of an incident that involved a man videotaping females while they used the washroom.

It is alleged that a male, while located in St. Clair Township gained access to a washroom and video recorded female victims.

The OPP has seized the man’s hand held device and are working diligently with the alleged victims to further the investigative process.

To date, the OPP are confident that they have identified and centralized the offence location and continue to consult with the affected facility in order to identify the affected victims.

“At this time the OPP are working to ensure victim confidentiality and privacy as this is an extremely sensitive incident, OPP officials stated.

The OPP has charged Pietro James Restivo, 32 years of age of the City of Sarnia with Voyeurism contrary to Section 162(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

He was held for a Bail Hearing and has since been released into the community with several behavioural type conditions and a Court Date of June 29, 2015.

The investigation is ongoing.
