Wallaceburg Lacrosse and the Wallaceburg Red Devils Jr. B Lacrosse Club are running a summer lacrosse camp called “King of the Courts.”

Jamie Knight, the organizer of the camp, said the primary focus will be teaching basics and improving stick skills in passing, catching and shooting.

The camp runs July 20-23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Glen Mickle Park Kings Courts Lax Pad.

“It’s for tyke, novice and peewee aged players, six to 12,” Knight said.

Cost is $75.

Knight added that 35 boys and girls have already signed up, but there is still room for a few more.

The Kinsmen Gym on Dufferin Ave. has been booked as a back up plan in case it rains.

Knight said there is a list of items they want to kids to bring:

– Helmet and gloves

– Good running shoes

– Bring your own lunch

– Bring lots to drink

– Sunscreen

– Hat or tilly

– Change of clothes

– A great attitude

Knight said depending on the playoff schedule for the Six Nation Arrows junior ‘A’ team, Jordan Durston and some of his teammates may be on hand to help out.
