Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 30-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing an assault charge following an incident at a medical facility in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a report of an assault on Grand Avenue West at about 6:32 p.m. on June 23.
Police allege security personnel approached the man and asked him to leave the area. During the interaction, the accused allegedly assaulted a member of the security staff. No injuries were reported.
The man was arrested and charged with assault. He was transported to police headquarters and later released with a future court date scheduled for Sept. 28, 2026.
