Impaired driving charges laid in Wallaceburg

Around 10:00 p.m. last night, an officer on general patrol received information that a male operating a motor vehicle on Dufferin Ave. in Wallaceburg was believed to be impaired.

Police attended the area and upon speaking with the driver suspected he was driving while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

He was transported back to the police station and provided two samples of his breath which registered Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 mL of his blood.

The 46-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with the above offences.

His driver’s licence was also suspended for 90 days.

He was released pending a future court date.
