St. Clair County Health Department officials in Michigan issued a health warning and closed beaches yesterday after a chemical spill in the St. Clair River.
Officials say at this time, the swimming advisory pertaining to the hydrofluorosilicic acid spill along the Marysville beach area has been lifted by the St. Clair County Health Department.
Recent test results indicated all levels were within normal range.
Officials say a chemical spill of hydrofluorosilicic acid took place this week from the Marysville Water Treatment Plant.
Reports say Wallaceburg water plant workers are closely monitoring the water intake following the spill.
Officials say the the chemical would be diluted by the time it got to the Chenal Ecarte ion the Syne River, reports say.
