The upcoming senior fair at the Dresden Arena – being held on Friday, Sept. 18 – is open to residents of Chatham-Kent and beyond
The Wallaceburg Senior Citizens Club in partnership with the Older Adult Centres’ Association of Ontario (OACAO) will be holding the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cheryl Burrage, the coordinator at the Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre, said some of the vendors this year are coming from London and Toronto.
“We are being sponsored by the Ontario Seniors’ Secretariat and also by the Older Adult Centres Association of Ontario,” she said.
“So they will also have a booth set up and they will have a ton of information about many aspects of being, or assisting a senior.”
Cheryl said the Ministry of Finance will also be in attendance.
“Everybody as they age, is trying to save money towards retirement,” she said. “RBC is going to be there as well. We have lots and lots of vendors so it should be a wide assortment of information.”
