Dudley George’s brother catches on fire during protest

The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating an incident where an adult male party received injuries as a result of a fire at Stoney Point First Nation Territory, former Ipperwash Army Camp, County of Lambton.On Sunday September 20th, 2015, at approximately 2:02 p.m., Lambton County OPP along with Lambton Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was requested to attend the main gate at Stoney Point First Nation Territory regarding an adult male that had caught on fire sustaining serious burns to his body.

The injured male party has been identified as 61 year-old Perry (Pierre) Neil Watson George of Army Camp Road, Municipality of Lambton Shores.

Pierre George is the brother of the late Dudley George, who was gunned down by an OPP sniper during a protest in Ipperwash Provincial Park in 1995.

Police say  Pierre George was consequently transported by Lambton EMS to hospital where his injuries were determined to be serious but non-life threatening. The Lambton OPP Crime Unit has been engaged and continues its investigation into this matter.
