Progress report cards being postponed

The Lambton-Kent District School Board is postponing elementary progress reports, due to the current labour situation in the province.

The school board sent home a letter with students today, Wednesday Oct. 28, the same day elementary school teachers stopped participating in extra-curricular activities.

“Due to the current provincial labour situation, the Lambton Kent District School Board, along with most other public school boards in Ontario, is postponing the issuing of elementary Progress Reports,” the LKDSB letter states.

The reports were scheduled to go home on November 13.

“When the labour situation is resolved at the provincial and local levels, the LKDSB will arrange for schools to communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child(ren)’s progress within a reasonable time frame,’ the letter says.

The LKDSB said they will continue to provide updates as they become available.
