Mrs. Margueritta McLachlin, a resident of Dresden, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Bluewater Health, in Sarnia, at the age of 77 years.
Margueritta was born in Wallaceburg and was a daughter of the late John and Matilda (Van De Velde) VanKruyssen. Beloved wife of Gary McLachlin. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Karen (Chris) Knox, Kevin (Karen) McLachlin and Sandra (Steve) Hohl. Dear grandmother of Richard (Tanya), Robert (Jashinta), Kelly, Christopher (Sara), Terrence (Chelsea), Matthew (Maryna), Brian (Janet), John (Brittany), Ashley (Larry), Brittany and Hailey and great grandmother of Alexis, Seth, Morgan, Jada, Blake, Lincoln, Zoey, Artem, Katherine and Thomas. Kind sister of Loretta (Bert) Gaudreault and the late Clementine (Floyd) Rabideau. Sister-in-law of Harold (Debbie) McLachlin, Doug (Judith) McLachlin, Elaine (Bill) Loosemore and Eileen Wagner. She is predeceased by her brothers-in-law Gord Wagner and Manley (Shirley) McLachlin. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 12, 2015 from Holy Family Church, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Margueritta McLachlin.
