Community Living Wallaceburg launches annual box lunch fundraiser

Community Living Wallaceburg is inviting residents to skip the lunch prep and support accessible transportation initiatives through its annual Box Lunch fundraiser.

The event returns Thursday, March 26, featuring menu items from local businesses including The Black Goose Grill, Maple City Bakery and Foodland Dresden.

Priced at $15 each, lunches include a Black Goose wrap or summer salad, along with chips, fruit, a cookie and a bottle of water, packaged in a traditional brown paper bag. Orders open online Feb. 17.

“It’s been inspiring to watch order numbers grow now that Box Lunch has returned as an annual fundraiser,” shared Andrew Dawson, Fund Development & Communications Specialist. “We’re exciting to be venturing into our local schools this year as an addition to our luncheon, helping ‘fuel’ the next generation of supporters. For $10, Wallaceburg students will have the opportunity to get a head start on Box Lunch, receiving a half-wrap delivered directly their school on March 25.”

Organizers describe the school-based “soft launch” through participating schools as a first step, with the potential for expansion in 2027.

The organization has set a goal of selling 1,500 lunches. Orders must be placed by March 12, 2026, through clwboxlunch.com. Those seeking more information or wishing to volunteer can email ccfd@getintocommunityliving.com.

Community Living Wallaceburg co-creates, designs and delivers supports aimed at empowering people to overcome barriers and live the life they choose.
