A Wallaceburg man faces a long list of charges following a traffic stop on Highway 40.

On November 8, 2015, just after 8:00 a.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting patrols on Highway 40 near Countryview Line, when he observed a Ford car with tinted licence plate covers, making them difficult to read.

The officer conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the male driver. Further investigation at roadside revealed that the driver provided the officer with false identification. It was also determined that he was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant, had a suspended driver’s licence and driving while disqualified.

The driver, a 28-year-old Wallaceburg man, has been charged with the following:

· Public Mischief

· Obstruct Peace Officer

· Personation With Intent To Avoid Arrest

· Fail To Comply With Probation Order (2)

· Driving While Disqualified (x3)

· Driving While Under Suspension

· Entire Plate Not Plainly Visible

He is scheduled to appear in a Chatham court at a later date to answer to the charges.
