‘Angel Gowns’ helping grieving families

For the past several months, Deb Walker has been collecting wedding gowns to lovingly transform into ‘Angel Gowns’ and crocheting tiny hats and blankets for pre-term babies who have tragically “earned their wings and become an Angel too soon.”

Her efforts have helped numerous families during their time of immense loss and sadness and Deb’s recent donation of ‘Angel Gowns’ and crocheted hats and blankets to CKHA’s Women and Children’s Health Department will help even more families during their time of grief.

“This unique and generous donation of ‘Angel Gowns’ to CKHA’s Women and Children’s Health Department will have an immensely meaningful and significant impact on local families,” says Michele Grzebien-Huckson, Executive Director, Foundation of CKHA. “This gift fulfills a need at our local hospitals and is a wonderful and heartfelt gesture for families who are going through a very difficult time. Thank you, Deb, for giving of your time and talents in this wonderful way.”

To make a donation of a wedding gown, a soft-coloured bridesmaid dress, mother-of-the-bride/groom dress and/or sewing supplies to this important initiative, please contact Deb Walker at angelgownsbydeb@gmail.com and/or on Facebook at Angel Gowns by Deb.
