Mr William “Bill” Arthur Parkes, a resident of Wallaceburg passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Fairfield Park Nursing Home, Wallaceburg the age of 81 years.
He was a son of the late Robert and Myrtle (Johnston) Parkes. Beloved husband of Joyce (Chauvin) Parkes. Loving father of Jeff (Mary) Parkes, Chris (Melissa) Parkes and Dave (Stacey) Parkes. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Travis, Matthew (Melissa), Amanda, Jennifer (Colin), Megan and Katelyn and great grandfather of Kayla, Delilah and Hayden. Kind brother-in-law of Ray Trudell, Ralph Chauvin, Jim (Dale) Chauvin, Marie Chauvin and Sarah Chauvin. He is predeceased by his sisters Violet (the late Rosaire Jr.) Chauvin, Ella (the late Joseph) Belbeck , Jean Trudell, Marion Chauvin and his brothers-in-law Roy Chauvin and Pete Chauvin. William will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The late William “Bill” Parkes rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Following with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at a later date at Riverview Cemetery.
