Burnett’s Cycle and Mower on Lafontaine Street is looking to help the Wallaceburg Splash Pad get closer to their goal of launching in July.

One lucky winner will receive a brand new Toro snow blower in a raffle that has started today, January 7.

“Port Lambton and other local communities are enjoying their splash pads and Wallaceburg should have one too,” Dave Burnett, owner of the business said. “I like to support local charities often with little donations here and there, door prizes and such, this is a little bigger and it could be because I am a grandfather now. I would like to take my granddaughter one day to the splash pad”.

Raffle tickets for the snow blower are $2 for one or $5 for three, and are available at the 217 Lafontaine Street business in Wallaceburg.

Chris Young, who is leading the Splash Pad committee, said the group is well on their way towards their goal.

“We have targeted $200,000,” he said. “We are at $40,000 currently in the bank and applying for a few more grants as well as putting on more fundraisers.”

The next event is an evening of entertainment by Cliff Erickson set for Saturday February 6 at The CBD Club in Wallaceburg.

The draw for the Toro snowblower, valued at $675, will be held that night to find out who the winner is.

If there are ballots left, the rest will be sold at the Cliff Erickson event leading up to the draw.

Cliff Erickson tickets are $20 and are available at the CBD Club or by call 519-627-8534. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for the performance.
