Patrick Harrison Isaac, a former resident of Walpole Island, died at the Watford Quality Care Centre on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the age of 76.
Patrick is the son of the late Alice (Altiman) and Alphonso Hinojosa. Dear partner of Jean Jones. Loving father of Lori Isaac, Christopher Isaac, Nadia Faulkner, Sean Isaac, Michelle McElroy, Michael Isaac and grandfather of Aletheia, Jonathon, Anthony, Holly, Nicholas, Liam, Madison, Riley, Aiden, Maddyn, Collin and Mia. Brother of Sharon, Antonio, Lucy, Raymond, Sammy, Gilbert, Alice, Dora, Hector, Martha, Richard and the late Michael, Gabriel, Marilyn, Brunno and Arnold. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Patrick’s many accomplishments included; being a Residential School Survivor, serving in the U.S. Navy, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Western University, worked within his community in various positions and as Walpole Island Band Administrator for many years. Patrick was elected to serve on the Walpole Council for many terms. While serving he had the opportunity to participate on committees and in aboriginal community issues.
Arrangements entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg. A Memorial Service will be held at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Association would be appreciated.
