It appears the end result of the 2016 Chatham-Kent budget process is what the majority of our readers care the most about.
The tax impact was the item that received the most votes in our poll, where we asked the question: What is the biggest 2016 Chatham-Kent budget issue?
Many items on our list ended up becoming non-issues last week, as they were pulled from the list of service reductions, including: public works special event cuts, the Bothwell Arena closure, and the Brunner Centre in Thamesville.
Issues still unresolved at this point are the Communities in Bloom program and financial support for the new research centre at Ridgetown College.
Deliberations continue this week from Tuesday to Thursday if necessary.
Currently the tax impact sits at 3.44%.
