Seth set to shine

Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith will be amongst the stars tonight, as he participates in the AHL All-Star Challenge.

The game will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight (Feb. 1.)

Fans in Wallaceburg will have the opportunity to watch Griffith participate in the big game.

Canada’s Sportsnet and 25 regional networks in the United States are carrying the mini-tournament.

The AHL is offering a free stream of the event online at AHLLive.com, fans can access the broadcast by entering in ‘ASC2016’ as a promotional code.

The All-Star Challenge will consist of four teams — one from each the Atlantic, North, Central and Pacific divisions. They will play a six-game round-robin, games will last nine minutes with play switching from 4-on-4 to 3-on-3 halfway through each game. The top two teams after round robin play, will battle in the final — a six-minute, 3-on-3 game.

Currently in 35 games, Griffith has 14 goals and 32 assists for 46 points, good for second in the league

Griffith is only one point behind the Toronto Marlies’ T.J. Brennan, despite playing 11 fewer games.

The 23-year-old skated in two games with the Boston Bruins in the NHL this year, recording one assist.

Griffith participated in the AHL skills contest on Sunday evening as well.
