Support needed for baby Presley

A Dresden family is in need, as their 3-month old baby girl continues to battle various health issues in a London hospital.

Doctors remain puzzled about baby Presley’s complications, as the girls mom and dad – Megan and Braden Barnier are left hoping for answers.

According to a GoFundMe page started for Presley, Megan has been with her daughter at the London Children’s Hospital for the past six weeks.

Doctors are waiting for genetic testing results, which will hopefully offer insight into the proper treatment that is needed.

Presley was first admitted to hospital after not gaining weight during her first two months.

She is now on specialized formula to try and provide her enough calories. She is now 3 months old and weighs approx. 8 lbs. 4oz.

Doctors also cannot understand why Presley is using up so much sodium, the fundraising page says.

Her sodium levels have dropped dramatically a couple of times which has caused seizure activity, and a couple of trips to the Critical Care Unit.

She has a tube that bypasses her stomach in order to decrease the amount of effort it takes her to eat.

Presley is often in great discomfort and isn’t getting much rest.

Megan has been staying with Presley in London, while Braden remains at home caring for their three other young children.

So far $505 has been raised for their family on the GoFundMe page, and donations are still being accepted.
