Wallaceburg’s Madison Broad has captured a second gold medal at the Speedo Eastern Canadian Open, being held in Montreal.
Broad won the 50-metre backstroke for 15-and-under girls with a personal-best time of 28.87 seconds.
The 15-year-old Chatham Y Pool Shark swimmer also won the 100 backstroke on Thursday.
She is entered into eight events at the meet, which wraps up on Sunday.
Broad will also be swimming in Orlando, Florida at the Grand Prix from March 3 to 5, and she’ll be heading to the Olympic time trials in Scarborough in April.
