The Wallaceburg Lakers handed out their annual awards on Saturday during their annual banquet.
A familiar face with the Lakers, and the Wallaceburg Red Devils, was recognized as part of the festivities.
“At the Wallaceburg Lakers banquet, the executive and coaching Staff wanted to honour a guy who has put his heart and soul into making sure the Wallaceburg Laker players have all of the essential tools they need before they step foot on the ice, during the games and even collect items after the game before boarding the bus for the return ride home,” Lakers officials posted on their website.
“We are talking about Norm O’Dell. He was presented with a Wallaceburg Lakers coat and a jersey for him to wear at the home games and away games.”

– Most Sportsmanlike player – Alex Carriere
– Most Dedicated Player – Justin Melo
– Rookie of the Year – Brett Farr
– Director’s Award for Volunteering – Shane Pollock and Mary McLaughlin
– Special Recognition for Equipment Manager – Norm O’Dell
– Tristan Carswell Heart and Soul Award – Trevor Waller
– Most Improved Player – Dak Johnstone
