Lambton OPP lay four impaired driving charges

drunk-driving

During the weekend of the 5 – 6 March, 2016 members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) had occasion to investigate four occurrences that resulted in more impaired driving charges.

Of the four impaired driving occurrences, 3 were for the consumption of alcohol and 1 was for the use of a narcotic.

The OPP is reminding drivers that any amount of alcohol or drugs can impair one’s ability to drive.

If you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi, stay overnight or take public transit.

The OPP would like to encourage the public to dial 911 to report anyone who is operating or about to operate a motor vehicle while impaired. The OPP will remain vigilant in enforcing and educating the community with regard to the impaired operation of any motor vehicles.
