Police searching for stolen truck

The Chatham-Kent Police Service are searching for a truck that was stolen on Friday night in Morpeth.

On March 18, 2016 at approximately 9:52pm, Chatham-Kent Police officers were dispatched to attend 12097 Talbot Trail, Morpeth in response to a call of a large piece of debris on the roadway.

When officers attended, they observed a break and enter to the Sunny Acres Vehicle and Metal Recycling compound.

Through investigation it was revealed that a recently purchased GMC Sierra pickup truck was missing from inside the compound.

The pickup was not plated when it was stolen.

The 1999 GMC Sierra extended cab, is black in colour.

Other distinctive notes about the vehicle are the muffler had already been removed, and that one or more of the windows have been smashed.

Early morning complaints of a very noisy pickup in the Blenheim area driving erratically have been received.

The vehicle has not been located yet.
