Stolen video games, e-bike recovered

Chatham-Kent police have a suspect in custody in relation to multiple theft cases.

Police officials say on January 21 a man attended Walmart in Wallaceburg and stole several handheld video game devices fleeing the store prior to police arrival.

Police say the man was subsequently identified by police during the investigation and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Friday, March 25 at approximately 11 a.m. police located the accused in the area of Westcourt Street
in Wallaceburg where he was arrested without incident.

While on scene, police subsequently found the man to be in possession of an e-bike which had previously been reported as stolen.

The accused was also charged with possession of property obtained by crime.

The 20-year old Walpole Island man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
