Erratic driving leads to impaired charge

A St. Clair woman faces impaired driving charges after someone spotted an erratic driver in Wallaceburg.

Police officials say last night around 9:20 p.m. officers received information about an erratic driver in the Wallaceburg area.

An officer on general patrol located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Dufferin Avenue near First Street.

Through investigation, the officer believed the woman was driving her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested.

The woman was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

A 46-year-old woman of St. Clair Parkway has been charged with impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample.

She was released pending a future court date of May 3, 2016.
