Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 41-year-old Chatham woman is facing several charges after police responded to a disturbance on Burton Avenue early Tuesday morning.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the area at about 1:48 a.m. on July 7.
Police allege the woman was banging on the door of a residence with a hammer while threatening to kill the occupants and smash all of the windows. Officers also determined she was bound by release conditions prohibiting her from possessing weapons.
She was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats to damage property, mischief under $5,000 and failure to comply with a release order.
The woman was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
