On Thursday, April 7, 2016, the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Alliance (CKHA) hosted its 14th Annual Parade of Chefs at Club Lentinas in Chatham, raising $50,000 for the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign. To date, over $3.7 million has been raised for this important campaign.
This year’s sold-out event featured Chef, TV Director, Host of his own YouTube Channel and Food Editor-in-Chief for Canadian Living Magazine, Chef Mike Ward and a seven-course meal prepared by local Chefs from Chatham Breakfast House & Grille, Eat What’s Good, Harvest Moon Catering, Mamma Maria’s Ristorante, T-Bones Grill House, The Chilled Cork Restaurant & Lounge and Willow Ridge Golf & Country Club.
Each course was accompanied by wines from Aleksander Estate Winery, Early Acres Estate Winery, Munro’s Meadery, Pelee Island Winery & Vineyards Inc. and Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery and beer from Bayside Brewing Co. and Railway City Brewing Company.
A fun and unique element of the event were the evening’s ‘Wine Servers’ – CKHA Physicians and volunteers; Dr. Dennis Atoe, Dr. Kate Bailey, Dr. Dax Biondi, Dr. Colin Bryan, Dr. John Button, Dr. Wendy Edwards, Patti Elliott, Dr. Cassie Harnarine, Dr. Tony McElligott, Dr. Siva Murugappan, Dr. Connie Nasello, Kevin Shaw, Dr. Linda Sinnaeve, Dr. David Sullivan, Dr. Patricia Tomney, Dr. Al Trinca, Dr. Donna Watterud and Dr. Nadine Yammine.

The Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) was established in 1998 to enhance the quality of healthcare available to the citizens of Chatham-Kent by raising funds and providing other resources to support CKHA. It accomplishes this through annual campaigns, capital and endowment campaigns, memorial giving, special events and planned giving. To date, the Foundation of CKHA has raised over $40 million.
