Update: Chatham-Kent courthouse reopens after threat

The Chatham-Kent Police Service continue to investigate a threats made to the Chatham-Kent courthouse.

“The courthouse is open again to the public,” stated Const. Renee Cowell, public information officer.

“The threat towards the courthouse remains under investigation.”

Police officials say this morning around 11:45 a.m. the CKPS received information that a threat had been made to the building at 425 Grand Avenue West in Chatham.

Emergency crews had evacuated the building.
