An attempted murder case, which stems from a physical altercation at Sam’s Hotel in Wallaceburg back in May 2014, is being pushed to September.
Charges against Taylor Ermatinger, 22, were dicussed in the Superior Court of Justice in Chatham on Tuesday.
The matter will be discussed during assignment court on Sept. 19.
Ermatinger had a preliminary hearing back on Oct. 9, 2015.
Afterwards, the case was committed to the Superior Court.
The Chatham-Kent police arrested Ermatinger and charged him with attempted murder in connection with a disturbance in Wallaceburg.
Police officials say on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, just before 12:30 a.m., police responded to an altercation between two men known to each other at Sam’s Hotel on Dufferin Avenue.
A 19 year-old man was transported to the Sydenham District Hospital with life threatening head injuries.
Ermatinger, had originally been denied bail in the Ontario Court of Justice on June 4, 2014.
However, a bail review was requested.
A Superior Court Justice overturned the decision and granted Ermatinger a release on a recognizance on July 21, 2014, which includes a long list of conditions.
A publication ban remains in place on the evidence discussed in court.
