A Blenheim man is in custody following an altercation earlier this week in downtown Chatham.
Police officials say on June 15th, officers investigated an early morning altercation on King St. Chatham.
Police say a man was punched by another man in the head and fell unconscious to ground where he remained unconscious for several minutes.
The victim was taken to Public General Hospital where it was determined he was suffering from multiple brain bleeds and airlifted to London Hospital.
The victim was unable to provide an immediate statement due to his injuries.
On June 17th, 2016 Chatham-Kent Police attended the suspects Blenheim residence and arrested him for Aggravated Assault.
The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
