Suspicious fire near Wallaceburg similar to others

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers is looking for tips after an abandoned house fire outside of Wallaceburg.

Crime Stoppers officials said during the early evening hours on Tuesday June 28, police and fire officials attended an abandoned house on Corktown Line near Wallaceburg that was engulfed by flames.

“The fire has been deemed suspicious and is very similar to several fires that have occurred over the past few months in Chatham-Kent and Lambton County,” fire officials stated.

Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the persons responsible for these arsons.

“If you saw anything suspicious, such as an unfamiliar vehicle or person driving in the area of Corktown Line, Crime Stoppers wants to hear from you,” Crime Stoppers officials stated.
