After going a couple of years without, the fair is making its return to Wallaceburg this weekend

Leslie Stebel, officer manager for Campbell Amusements based out of Brantford, said they are excited to be in town.

“Last week we were at the Chatham Ribfest, so we were looking for something close by,” Stebel told the Sydenham Current.

“We looked in the Wallaceburg area and found the (old) Sobey’s here and we knew the parking lot would be empty and we could probably book it. So we just called them up. We are not affiliated with any service club or anything.”

Stebel added: “We’ve had quite a few people coming up to us asking when we are opening. We think there is quite an interest for this week… we think we’ll do well.”

The fair starts up on Thursday at 2 p.m., Friday at 2 p.m. and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Stebel said the fair will close at 10 p.m. each day.

“We have rides for kids and adults,” she said.

The rides include:

– Ferris Wheel

– Starship 2000

– The Roundup

– The Scrambler

– The swing ride

– A big swinger ride

– The super slide

– Merry-Go-Round

– Puppy ride

– And a fun house

Stebel said they are selling tickets at $2.50 each or 10 tickets for $20, and there are no bracelets/wristbands for unlimited rides.

“The rides are one or two tickets. Kiddie rides are 1 ticket. Adult rides are two tickets,” she said.

“We have a few games of skill on the Midway. We have a candy floss trailer and a Slush Puppy trailer as well.”
