The Knights of Columbus in Wallaceburg are expecting huge numbers in Wallaceburg for their annual chicken dinner on Friday night.

Barry McFadden, of the K of C, said there are no tickets, it is a first come first serve basis.

“We start at 4:30 p.m. and we go until we are sold out,” he said.

“We are hoping to sell 600 dinners.”

McFadden said the dinner will be served in its usual location, the parking lot next to the library at the end of Nelson St.

“There will be a two piece entertainment… Tim Nishimura and Jeff vercauteren to entertain. That is included in the program. They play a variety of music. They are guitar players and they do a variety of music,” McFadden said.

The dinner itself includes: three pieces of Car Barn chicken, a potato, rolls, coleslaw, tomatoes, cucumbers and corn on the cob.

Cost is $16.

“We just want to see a lot of people turn out and we know the weather is going to be great so we know it will be a great dinner,” he said.
