Statistics Canada will be conducting a telephone survey on behalf of the Chatham-Kent Workforce Planning Board from September 19 to 23, 2016. Statistics Canada interviewers will contact approximately 2,000 randomly selected households by telephone in Chatham-Kent.

The purpose of this survey is to gather information for the Chatham-Kent Workforce Planning Board on residents’ work status, training and work mobility, in order for the planning board to better understand the needs of the region’s workers.

The survey is conducted under the authority of the Statistics Act, which ensures the confidentiality of all information collected. The Chatham-Kent Workforce Planning Board will receive only information that does not identify individual persons or households contacted by the survey.

While participation in the survey is voluntary, it is important that all selected participants take part to ensure the information accurately reflects the profile of residents in the community of Chatham-Kent.

Interviewers will identify themselves as being employees of Statistics Canada upon calling.

Respondents can also contact the number below to verify that Statistics Canada is conducting this survey.

For further information on the survey, please contact Michel-Eric Velleman at 1-855-634-2360 until September 23 at the Statistics Canada office in Ottawa.
