Vera Mae (Young) (Sterling) VanCouter of Wallaceburg and formerly of Port Lambton died peacefully at C-K Hospice on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the age of 84.
Vera is the daughter of the late Otto and Olive Young. Beloved wife of Anthony VanCouter and the late Ray Sterling. Dear stepmother of Debbie Stirling (Allen), Wayne VanCouter (Laurie), Theresa Marcolin (Gary) and Brenda Pinsonneault (Tim). Grandmother of Chantel (David), Nicole, Tylene (Scott), Michael, Katelyn (Shawn), Kyle and Brayden. Great grandmother of Kamron, Aiden, Cejay, Alivia and Alaya. She will be missed by her cousin Norma Templeton.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Sunday. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Port Lambton on Monday, October 24 at 11 AM.
