A total of $80,000 damage was caused, after a drunk driver crashed into garage.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Sunday emergency crews responded to a single vehicle collision in the city of Chatham.
A pick-up truck driven by a 37-year-old Chatham man collided with the attached garage of a residence causing heavy damage.
Upon attending the scene Chatham-Kent Police arrested the man for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and he was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters to provide a breath sample.
The man registered .228 and .235 blood alcohol; almost four times the legal limit.
The man was further charged with drive over 80ml of alcohol in blood.
Damage is estimated at $80,000 and no one was injured.
