‘Suspicious’ truck call leads to suspension

A Wallaceburg man won’t be driving for a few days, after an incident in rural Chatham-Kent.

Police officials say around 11:30 p.m. last night, police responded to the area of Lindsay Side Road and Brook Line regarding the report of a suspicious truck.

An officer on general patrol located the truck and a traffic stop was initiated.

The officer suspected the driver may be operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

A roadside breath test was conducted and the 32-year-old Wallaceburg man registered a warn.

He was issued a 3-day license suspension and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
