Home & Cottage Interiors is holding their Christmas Open House this weekend kicking off on Friday night from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“We are very busy transforming the entire store and paint studio into a winter wonderland,” says manager, Diane Galvin. “Every day, I go home covered in glitter.”
During the Christmas Open House everything in the store will be TAX FREE and visitors will have an opportunity to win one of three door prizes.
“We will be raffling off a Beginner’s Work Shop worth $100, a $50 gift certificate and a $25 gift certificate,” said Galvin. “You can qualify for the draw, by sharing this article or by liking our Facebook Page. So you don’t have to come to the Open House for a chance to win, but we sure hope you will join us for a festive and relaxing shopping experience.”
Just walking through the front doors will put you in the Christmas spirit, Galvin said. From the glowing fireplace in the front window to the inviting fragrances and sounds of the season, you’ll get all the inspiration you need to start transforming your own home for the Holidays. Besides all the lovely Christmas décor, you’ll find a full complement of gift ideas for everyone on your list. Beautiful decorator pillows, serving trays, candles, adult colouring books, wine glasses and coffee mugs… just to name a few.
Home & Cottage Interiors is also the Home of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ and as a certified Annie Sloan Stockist, Galvin can advise you on various painting techniques and show you examples of them on some of the beautiful furniture pieces in the store that have already been transformed using this amazing paint.
“There will also be a few pieces on display waiting to be transformed,” Galvin said with a laugh. “We sometimes have a difficult time keeping up with the demand for painted pieces, but when that happens we give the customers the option of choosing the colour and finish for the piece they want to buy – or we sell it at a reduced price and they can take it home and paint it themselves.”
Don’t miss the amazing new wine cabinet and the beautiful Kitchen Island they created from an old sideboard.
“The transformation options are endless,” Galvin added. “We are always looking for new ways to use old pieces and we draw a lot of inspiration from our customers. So many of them come in to share pictures on their phones of pieces they have transformed. Every piece has a story and we just love that they share them with us.”
