A Wallaceburg man faces several charges after a traffic stop on Wednesday.

Police officials say yesterday afternoon, an officer on general patrol observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on King Street in Wallaceburg.

The officer initiated a traffic stop and through investigation, learned that the license plates were not registered to the vehicle, the man’s license was suspended for a novice violation and that the vehicle was uninsured.

The 25-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with driving while under suspension, being a G1 license holder and unaccompanied by a qualified driver, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and using plates not authorized for the vehicle.

His vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.

He will be required to attend court on November 30, 2016.
