Cat tossed from moving truck near Dresden

The Chatham-Kent Police Service are investigating after a cat was tossed from a moving truck near Dresden.

Police officials say last night at around 5:35 p.m. the complainant witnessed a vehicle throw a cat from a moving vehicle in the area of McCreary Line and Dawn Valley Road just outside Dresden.

The witness stopped to check on the well-being of the car and subsequently transported the animal to a local veterinary clinic.

The animal suffered serious injuries and the investigation has been taken over by the OSPCA.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle involved in the incident and/or the parties responsible.

The vehicle is described as a late model single cab Chevrolet Duramax diesel 4×4 pickup truck.

The truck was further described as being lifted with LED headlights and aftermarket tail lights.

The exhaust was very loud and the windows are tinted.

The vehicle was last seen traveling towards Dresden.
