The Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA)’s Christmas Wish Tree Appeal received a big boost this week.

Representatives from the CKHA Helping Hands Auxiliary presented a cheque for $10,000 to the Foundation, in support of the $6.9 million CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.

This donation brings the campaign to over $4.2 million raised.

This generous donation from the CKHA Helping Hands Auxiliary was made possible through various fundraising initiatives coordinated by the Auxiliary throughout the year, including proceeds from the Boutique Grand Gift Shop.

“This donation has helped us surpass the $4.2 million dollar mark,” says Barb Noorenberghe, Development Officer, Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. “We realize there are many worthy causes in Chatham-Kent and are thankful that so many in the community continue to support the work of our Foundation.”

About the CKHA Helping Hands Auxiliary

Comprised of former healthcare providers and volunteers from the community, the CKHA Helping Hands Auxiliary has provided countless volunteer hours to CKHA through fundraising efforts, in support of the Foundation of CKHA, via the Boutique Grand Gift Shop at CKHA’s Chatham Campus and many other fundraising initiatives.

Over the years, the funds raised by the CKHA Helping Hands Auxiliary have supported specific patient care areas and numerous Foundation of CKHA campaigns, including The Future’s In Sight Ophthalmology Campaign, the Making the Right Investment – MRI Campaign, the Cardiac Monitoring System Campaign and the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.
